- Jim Ernst of G.A. Ernst Associates Inc. of Northfield removes a cover from the furnace at the home of Greg and Linda Munson while conducting an energy audit in the home. Ernst found that the fan was dirty and even showed signs of drywall dust possibly from the original construction. A dirty fan requires more energy to turn than a clean one, but it is very difficult to measure that difference.

Salvation Army Sharing Tree

- A small group gathered in the JC Penney courtyard in Apache Mall for the lighting of the Salvation Army Sharing Tree Friday evening. New unwrapped gifts may be placed under the tree during mall hours through December 24, and will be distributed to local families by the Salvation Army and their volunteers.
