Traveling Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

- The VFW Color Guard stands at attention while members of The Old Guard and a portrayal of President Abraham Lincoln escort a flag draped casket on a buckboard to the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester Friday. The procession was followed by The Traveling Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which was set up in the Peace Plaza and will remain on display until Sunday afternoon. There is also a short ceremony Saturday at 4 p.m. with a speaker of the Old Guard and a laying of a wreath at the tomb. The Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial Committee and the Rochester Downtown Alliance sponsor the display.
